Our Wildish Workshops - BearMade

Our Wildish Workshops

BearMade exists to connect people with nature. Our Wildish Workshops are a big part of this. So much so that we have developed a sister CIC company to help connect people with nature.
-
We can run these workshops with any company, organisation or group looking to gain a greater understanding of how an increased connection with nature can benefit their lives. As a team of young, passionate outdoor enthusiasts and scientists, we take a very practical approach to our workshops, everything we do is science led and relatable.
-
Every workshop we run will be tailored to each group. For example, our first workshop with City College Plymouth, was focused on how the teachers could incorporate nature into their lessons, and improve the mental wellbeing of themselves, and their students. Here is some of the feedback from that day:
"Scale of learning: 5/5 - Yes, loads! A lot of which I wasn't even expecting, which was really nice. From fascinating stats and evidence-based research to genuine insight into the ideas, opinions, and experiences of those I work alongside.  For me, this reinforces the importance of participant lead sessions. Though it was wonderfully facilitated by knowledgeable and passionate well-being ambassadors. I appreciated their openness and sincerity from start to finish."
-
"There are not many staff training days when you get a chance to just "be" rather than having to "do" something. It made a refreshing change. Time to talk to like-minded staff in a natural environment with facilitators who were happy to let the day "go with the flow" made for an enjoyable experience. We do not get enough time to reflect on our practice and to remember we are human beings working in challenging times."
-
"I would encourage everyone I work with to do this workshop. I really hope it's not the last."
