The Family: A few words from the founders.
Oscar Boatfield - Co-Founder
I have loved the outdoors for as long as I can remember. They have played an integral role in my life and I have been involved in the outdoors industry for nearly 10 years now.
I have predominantly been focused around the world of fly fishing and have been a professional guide for the last 8 years. In that time I have also co-authored an award-winning fly fishing book
, built fly rods, and done some embarrassing stuff on TV.
As I have grown, my interest in the outdoors and conservation has grown with me. Unfortunately I have seen this interest, that I have taken for granted, is not accessible to most. I am committed to making the countryside and its activities a safe place for all to enjoy and learn from. If we don't bring everyone into the countryside and promote its conservation, it wont be long before there is no countryside left.
Nell Wharton - Co-founder
I was born in the U.K. but grew up in Australia. I am an avid fly fisher, rock climber and am obsessed with wildlife and its conservation.
I am trained as a veterinarian and suffer from some mental health issues (as do many people). Being outdoors helps me get away from the stress of the day to day. It's benefits to mental wellbeing are exponential, and I want to share these benefits with others.
Amy - Bag Maker Extraordinaire
Amy works from a cosy workshop in the stunning Suffolk countryside. She has been making bags for the last 15 years and is a master of her art. Amy makes all our bags start to finish, with a level of care and attention to detail that is second to none.
