We don't do Black Friday. Instead, we use this day to set goals for the next 12 months and we make them in public. They are a promise from us to you, a promise that we will keep using our business to do good things.
On this day last year we promised to help over 200 people get outdoors. As hard as we’ve tried, we failed to achieve it.
When we set the target of 200 people we knew it was a long shot, but we are so happy we set that goal, because it meant we did the hardest thing of all, we took the first step. We started The Wildish Club and have helped over 150 people get outdoors and created an amazing community in the process.
6 months in, the club is in full swing and we are already working out how we can expand it.
Starting The Wildish Club has completely changed our lives for the better, and we want to share it’s awesomeness with as many people as possible.
So for this years promise we’re going big. Within the next 12 months we’re going to help at least 2000 people get outdoors and connect with other amazing people. We will do this by starting new Wildish Clubs around the country.
We also promise to keep finding new ways to keep our impact on the planet as small as possible. We are currently working with a specialist to accurately calculate our carbon footprint and find more ways that we can reduce it.
And finally we promise to start selling our bags to people outside of the UK again. We have recently taken the exciting first steps to find people who can make our bags in other countries. However, It’s becoming clear that the journey to being a fully “Glocal” business is longer and more complex than we first thought. It’s going to be a fun ride, more to come on that soon.
