Finding someone whose values align so well is always a challenge, especially in this time of greenwashing. The bag looks great but the shared values were more important. So I ordered because I felt I need to put my money where my heart is. When my Jorvik arrived it was love at first sight. The bag is beautifully crafted and the small details point to the amount of thought and care put into in. I love the Colour, I still giggle every time a hear the buckles satisfying clasping sound and the inside is well planned so I don’t lose my stuff. I feel we will go on many beautiful adventures.

Bought as a birthday present for my wife. She is delighted!

Gouthwaite Backpack - 18-23L

Such a well made, durable, high quality backpack. I reached out to Oscar and asked for a custom black gouthwaite to be made with tan straps instead, and the product is fantastic. I have been using it for a couple weeks now, and particularly appreciate how the shape and design of the bag makes for excellent weight distribution on the back. I may have to get another one for my husband soon!

I love my new backpack. If I had one suggestion for a change it would be addition of a loop at the top of the back so it can be lifted like a suitcase if wanted. If you grab the strap for the buckle, the strap slips in the buckle. Otherwise it is perfect

I really like the feel of the wool based padding, and the new bag smell stood out to me right away! Cobra buckle is always worth it. I'm trying to get used to the lack of a handle/strap.

I rarely find the time to leave product reviews, but when I received a product that is such exceptional quality I knew this was going to be an exception.

Everything about this bag is amazing, the materials used, the workmanship to create it, and even the communication from the team. It is incredibly comfortable to carry, regardless of weight. I honestly can't recommend it enough.

This is a great little bag for all the things I would usually carry in my pockets and then some. It’s beautifully made from quality components. I like the fact that the fabric is organic cotton and the hardware is all metal - no plastic- and the webbing is extremely robust. I like its simplicity - not overthought or fussy - one external zipper and two straightforward pockets on the inside. I suppose you could say it is minimalist but in a very thoughtful and evolved way - very restrained. I have also used it as a pouch inside a larger bag to great effect. I really am enjoying carrying this bag daily.

I love this backpack. I have been using it for a few weeks and think it’s great. Takes all the stuff I need and is comfortable to wear. The quality of the bag seems really good. Couple of things I would change:
Add a key loop and a carry handle

Other than that cannot recommend enough.
